After graduating with B Mus (Hons) degree in Music at the University of Hull, Mrs Humphrey completed her PGCE in Secondary Music at Oxford Brookes University. Since entering teaching she has held positions in a number of schools including Head of Music and Director of Teaching and Learning for Performing Arts. Mrs Humphrey also worked for a number of years with the Northamptonshire Teacher Training Partnership, where she devised and delivered the trainee programme for Music and supervised the Music, Dance and Drama course.
Outside of teaching, Mrs Humphrey is the Choir Leader for Cransley Hospice Community Choir in Kettering, a community choir she established in 2015. Away from musical activities (of which there are many as the whole family are involved in different ensembles and bands) Mrs Humphrey enjoys cooking, reading crime fiction and city breaks.
