Where children flourish

Welcome to Pitsford

Pitsford School is a rare environment: deliberately small, we are dedicated to supporting children as individuals. At this unique independent school in Northamptonshire, every child is known and cared for and their talents and interests are identified, developed and cherished.

Set in 30 beautiful acres in the lovely village of Pitsford, our state-of-the-art buildings are surrounded by green open space, creating a perfect and bucolic environment to nourish hungry minds and engage ambitious students.

Our curriculum draws on the best Grammar school traditions, building upon them with the most valuable new developments in education. Classes are kept deliberately small to maximise the teacher time received by each and every one of our students.

Our philosophy of education is relational, personal and bespoke. Despite being a small independent school we offer a very wide range of subjects (including three separate sciences, three Modern Foreign Languages and outstanding Art and Music provision). Our results are amongst the best in the county.

Pitsford School, like life, must be experienced. Please arrange to come and see us and learn more.

The dust may have settled on the summer term but Rob and Dave are creating clouds of it outside Pitsford Hall!

Rob has been busy returning the steps and doorway to their original beauty. He has sanded away the layers of paint to the wooden entrance pillars and has taken the doors back to the original oak.

Meanwhile, Dave has been on the tractor and digger and has moved over 300 tonnes of impacted gravel. The box hedge has been removed because it is sadly diseased and we have uncovered the railing, a boot scraper and a step that were all buried under the layers of time!

Our hall and the area in front of it will be more beautiful than ever.

Well done chaps!!

Well done Lucas, break a leg!

Lucas and the Silhouette Youth Theatre have been performing 'The Tempest' at The Royal Shakespeare Company's Holloway Garden Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Lucas played the part of King Alonso, the group felt very privileged and proud to be under the banner of the RSC and will continue to work with them.

“Pupils at all stages of the school have excellent attitudes to learning. They are cooperative, eager to succeed and they listen to and support one another in class.”

“Pupils responding to the pre-inspection questionnaire overwhelmingly endorsed the statement ‘I like being at this school’.”

“Throughout the school, members of staff provide excellent support and guidance. Small class sizes in the junior school, and small tutor groups in the senior school, enable each pupil to be recognised as an individual by staff.”
