Pupils join a house on entry to the junior school and remain with that house through their time at Pitsford. In the junior school they are known informally by their colours ‘Red House’, ‘Blue House’ and ‘Green House’ rather than the more formal names of the Senior School counterparts (Hesketh, Robinson and Wake). Each house has an elected House Captain and Vice Captain in J6. Within the house system the children are encouraged to take responsibility and work together. Each house raises money and awareness for a chosen charity.
There is also healthy competition between the houses which continues into the senior school. The senior school house captains visit the junior school at regular intervals, as do the Head Boy and Head Girl.
