Mr Edwins brings excellent experience and enthusiasm to the role, starting in post in April 2023.
Following a degree in English & History, Mr Edwins studied for his PGCE at Southampton University and has taught ever since. Mr Edwins has worked in both the maintained and independent sectors for the last 25 years; as Head of Drama, Head of English and most recently as Deputy Head – Academic at local independent school Maidwell Hall. In this time, he has been involved with children of all ages, from Reception through to A’ level and has been heavily involved in sports coaching as well as directing school plays throughout his career.
Mr Edwins experience gives him a fairly unique perspective on the educational path that children travel, which is a great advantage within a through school.
