Pitsford School's brand new £2 million Sports Centre will be officially opened by Colin Jackson, World Champion Athlete, on Friday 29 April.  Colin Jackson is an Olympic Silver Medalist, double Word Champion, World Recorder Holder, 110-metre hurdler and star of Strictly Come Dancing.

Large enough to hold four, full-sized badminton courts, plus a fully-equipped cardiovascular fitness suite, cafe area and changing facilities, the Sports Centre will also offer a wide choice of sports facilities including volleyball, badminton, and 5-a-side football. The Sports Centre has panoramic views across the School's 26 acres of parkland and sports fields.

To celebrate the Sports Centre grand opening, Pitsford School will be holding a 24-hour Cyclothon with pupils competing against members of staff in addition to hosting a Senior School Mini Olympics raising funds for Sports Relief.

This is the second major building project that Pitsford School has undertaken in the last five years as, in 2012, a multi-million pound Junior School building was completed.
