Pitsford School's Junior School Prize Giving took place on Wednesday 08 July.  The afternoon began with a showcase of music and drama highlights from the year including "Any Dream Will Do" performed by the Key Stage One Choir and a scene from "Saints v Tigers (aka Romeo and Juliet) performed by the Junior School Drama Club.

The event was a celebration of the highlights and hard work by all the pupils culminating in what was an amazing year for the Junior School.  Prizes were presented to the children by the Head Boy, James Goldthorpe.

"It is wonderful to see such bright young people at the beginning of their school journey.  You are already growing up and that's what school is all about.  School gives you independence and this comes by choosing and making your own friends or doing your own homework.  I have two tips for success at school.  One is to always be ambitious and believe in what you can do.  The other is to try and love something whether it's a subject, a hobby or a sport.  Well done to all prizewinners.  I hope you enjoy your time at Pitsford School as much as I have," said James.

The Head Teacher's Award for Perseverance and Determination was awarded to:
J1 - Selorm Agroh
J2 - Martha Rigby
J3 - Angus McCallum-Toppin
J4 - Cara Roberts
J5 - Jake Pearce
J6 - Tianna Chacksfield

Well done to all prizewinners and good luck to our current Year 6 pupils who will be moving up to the Senior School in September.

Pitsford School's next Open Day will take place on Saturday 03 October between 10.30am and 1.00pm.  Please contact the School for more information.
