The Pitsford Shakespeare Company (aka Junior Drama Club) performed a modern version of Romeo and Juliet to the delight of friends, family, staff and pupils.
As in previous years, the Drama Club had specifically requested to perform a Shakespearean play and the young thespians agreed on Romeo and Juliet. In this captivating version, Romeo and Juliet came from the old rival families of Tigers and Saints. The modern twist gave lots of opportunities for puns and laughter.
Many congratulations to everyone who took part and made this production so enjoyable. Special mention goes to Sebastian Rice-Williams who played Romeo and Tianna Chacksfield, who played Juliet - they both played their parts maturely and had had to learn a lot of lines. Also well done to Charlie Goode who single-handedly managed the sound and lighting effects.
After the drama production, pupils went out into the School grounds to enjoy the traditional Easter Egg Hunt. There were lots to find but there was no sign of the Easter Bunny who had been spotted earlier in the Dining Hall....
